There was a time when the soul of the Mayab learned to sow, to embroider, to build and to rest.
But time marched on and new faces, new languages, new forms arrived, and far from being lost, the soul learned to integrate.
Thus the mestiza was born
Dressed in an embroidered huipil, but walking between two worlds, keeping Mayan roots and Spanish heritage in her blood, firm, elegant, proud.
The mestiza is an encounter, in her the past and the present, roots and traditions coexist, she is a symbol of living identity.
Our Mestiza room honors that harmonious union: a space where the ancestral dialogues with the contemporary and does not let us forget where we come from.
Here, the soul is not only remembered, it is recognized. Because Yucatán is a symbol of an identity that is not frozen in the past, but neither does it forget it.
And the mestiza is its most vivid expression.
