The hammock sways like the breeze. In it, sleeping is like sailing on the memory of Yucatán.
Tradition tells that a young Mayan man observed how spiders wove their webs among the trees, fine, resistant, suspended in the air, he understood then that wisdom lives in nature and inspired by it he took fibers of henequen and cotton, and began to intertwine them with patience.
The fiber that had once been used to work the land now supported her body. She hung her weaving between two trees and lay down, discovering something deeper than rest: balance.
Suspended between two points, the hammock taught the people that life is not rigidity, but balance.
