Henequen, known as the Green Gold of Yucatan, was born from an ancient Mayan legend starring Zamná, wise guide of the Itza people.


During his pilgrimage to the land promised by the gods, Zamná discovered an unknown plant whose thorns wounded him. From that pain came a discovery: strong and valuable fibers that would serve to weave the life of his people.


With wisdom, Zamná taught how to work the plant they called Ki or Henequen to obtain its valuable fibers, transforming it into sustenance, identity and legacy.

That is how the city of Izamal was founded in that great place.


This room pays homage to the fiber that made Yucatán legendary. The space blends contemporary luxury with Yucatecan charm: fine textiles, handcrafted details, and fine wood furniture envelop the room in natural elegance, ideal for those seeking a moment of relaxation and tranquility.
